Who Am I Today?
I am a person who is a product of my environments and my experiences. From birth being born in Japan to parents that valued education, I have always had a global view of the world. Growing up in fluctuating financial circumstances I was able to meet people from different backgrounds that shaped my views values and perception of the world. Going to a small college I had my views on identity, race, sexual orientation, and economics challenged on a daily basis. I was forced to come up with solid reasoning based on factual information of why I felt the way that I felt. This was a great experience because I was able to let go the beliefs of my parents, peers, and elders and create ones of my own with solid reasoning. I am a listener, a student of life, a son, a brother, and a friend. I am a person who wants to see everyone succeed. The person who I hope to become is one that can provide resources and opportunity. I hope to connect our dreams to reality. Everyday I continue to learn something new. I strive for inspiration through reading, my relationships and life.
